The Toronto Concert Band typically performs three concerts per year. Typical performances feature a variety of musical genres, from classical to modern to swing to broadway and pop and last approximately two hours, usually with an intermission.

On June 15th, the Toronto Concert Band wraps up its 10th Anniversary Season with a gift of magnificent music! The centrepiece of our thrilling anniversary programme is Bizet’s Carmen Suite – flamenco-infused music overflowing with emotion and unforgettable melodies including Habanera and Toreador Song. Then there’s Mars from Holst’s outer-worldly The Planets, with clashing keys and arresting drama. Back on Earth, the band explores jubilant themes from Lord of the Dance, takes a fun romp Through the Decades of pop/rock, and raises the roof with a rousing Seventy Six Trombones. Plus much more!

The Toronto Concert Band presents Music of the Night, featuring Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, as well as other favourites.
Our 2024-25 season promises thrilling repertoire, gripping guest artists and three unique concert experiences designed to entertain and inspire. Our series launches in November with Music of the Night – stirring excerpts from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved The Phantom of the Opera, a dynamic gallop through Rossini’s William Tell Overture Finale, and Jan Van der Roost’s frolicking suite of Swedish folk dances Medelpadia.
In March, we bring our characteristically diverse programming to Etobicoke including Robert Sheldon’s Glorious Revelation rife with powerful chords and poignant themes and Bert Appermont’s Evening Rise musical journey around the world. In June, we heat up our concert stage with uber cool jazz featuring guest Trumpeter Mike Field, an award-winning jazz musician revered for his dynamic performances with a worldly flavour and a fun sense of adventure.
